Biography
Owners, Ryan and Elizabeth Swayne, currently drive a school bus part-time, and make art the rest of the time. The Swaynes' specializes in photography, handmade ceramics, and custom jewelry.
Ryan Swayne graduated from Fort Hays State University with a BFA in 2016. While at FHSU, Swayne spent five weeks studying abroad at SIAS International University in the School of Chinese Language and Culture in ZhengZhou, Hunan, China in the summer of 2014. Swayne currently teaches high school art in a suburb of Wichita, KS. He has worked with both hand-built and wheel-thrown forms, as well as blacksmithing and jewelry. Swayne has participated in many workshops taught by professional artists, such as: Julia Galloway, John Britt, Shawn Spangler, Beth Cavener, Roberto Lugo, Alleghaney Meadows, Linda Swanson, Melanie Sherman and more. Swayne's goal in life is to get as much art into other people's homes as possible, so that they can live with handmade artwork.
